PMC Delloite Tech Fast 50 AND Entrepreneur Awards 2017
One of the UK's foremost technology award programmes, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranks the country's 50 fastest growing technology companies based on revenue growth over the last four years.
For the second consecutive year, PM Connect attended the awards alongside well-known brands such as the online food delivery platform Deliveroo, the digital letter box flower delivery company Bloom & Wild, and fitness network Move GB.
PM Connect came 1st in the Midlands region, and achieved 21st place in the national awards with a four year revenue growth of 1,562%.
James Macfarlane, Managing Director of PM Connect, collected the award last week at London Hilton Bankside “We’re really pleased to have won the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 award. The whole programme brings together a really interesting and enormously varied group of businesses that have all achieved outstanding growth figures. It’s a real privilege and hugely motivating for PM Connect to be a part of that,” he said.
In the same week, James Macfarlane also won the, “Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year,” category at the 2017 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards for the Midlands region.
Now in its fifth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses. The awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names such as; David Buttress, former CEO of Just Eat and James Watt, co-founder of Brewdog; the multinational brewery and pub chain.
James Macfarlane is a graduate from the University of Leicester and a former winner of the Midlands Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. James originally founded various popular consumer websites such as, “The Mum Network,” and the business then evolved into PM Connect.
Upon receiving the Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year award, James said, “It’s a real honour for me to win this award. It’s fantastic to see recognition not just for the financial growth and commercial success of so many entrepreneurs, but also for their stories, paths to success and greater contribution to society. There’s a lot of inspiration to be found amongst these award winners for the new entrepreneurs of tomorrow.”
Founder of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Francesca James, said, “The winning entrepreneurs have made a huge impact on entrepreneurship in their region and the wider UK economy and we hope that winning an award will help give them the recognition they thoroughly deserve.”
